Kingsley has completed both his Master of Music (Performance) with partial scholarship, and Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Australian Institute of Music majoring in Classical Piano, achieving consistent distinction and high distinction grades. He has studied under numerous prestigious pianists, teachers, composers, musicologists including Katya Makarova, Dr Alistair Noble, Dr Brieley Cutting, and Dr Philip Eames.

Prior to tertiary studies, Kingsley achieved a band 6 in HSC music and placed 1st his school, achieving full marks for piano performances and also completing his Associate Diploma of Music (AMUSA) in AMEB piano. Kingsley has performed in renowned classical recital halls including Carnegie Hal (New York), John Painters Hall (Sydney), and the Verbrugghen Hall (Sydney). Kingsley has won multiple prizes in national and international piano competitions, including 1st prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition (won 1st prize in both solo and chamber category and was nominated to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York), Certificate of Commendation in the Australian International Music Competition, 3rd prize in the Arco International Online Piano Competition, 2nd prize in two events in the Charleston International Music Competition. Kingsley also competed in Eisteddfods across Sydney and won numerous prizes (1st prize, 3rd prize, highly commended) including in championship and scholarship categories, and Russian piano category.

His piano playing and teaching style is hugely influenced from what is known as the Russian piano school. The Russian piano style is known to have proficient technique, while focusing on tone phrasing and the cantabile line, allowing the piano to sound like an orchestra. He has also researched in theoretical fields and topics such as music psychology, nationalistic piano schools, and the use of the metronome.
