B. Mus Composition
Anna is a multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and songwriter with a deep passion for music that began at a young age. She started learning piano at the age of five, with her mother as her first teacher. Over the years, Anna self-taught herself guitar, drums, and bass during high school, and began exploring composition and songwriting. In 2021, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Composition and Music Production from the Australian Institute of Music, and has since contributed to a range of musical projects.
Anna's recent musical endeavors include playing bass for the local pop-funk band Motherfunkers and drums for the Inner West funk-soul group Night Pilots. When not teaching or performing, she dedicates her time to her personal music production studio in Leichhardt, where she continuously develops her skills and collaborates with artists and musician friends. Since 2018, Anna has produced and released numerous songs with emerging Sydney-based artists across a variety of genres, in addition to releasing her own music under the artist name Kaye Palm. She also enjoys experimenting with live looping and delving into music theory and rhythm through this dynamic performance medium.
As an educator, Anna strives to make the learning process enjoyable and engaging, believing that the energy of her students’ enjoyment fuels her passion for teaching. She is deeply committed to sharing her love for music with her students, helping them connect with their instruments and fostering their musical growth with every lesson.
