B. Mus Performance

Leah is a Jazz and contemporary vocalist currently completing her Bachelor of Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium. She is passionate and enthusiastic about music, and has been singing ever since she can remember, beginning formal training as an early teen. Under the tuition of notable members of the Sydney Jazz community, and in collaboration with her musician peers, Leah has grown a love for writing music, performing and teaching singing.

Leah has experienced performing in a range of settings - whether that is with her Jazz trio or with her Neo-Soul and Funk band, Lapis, in a recording studio. Most important to Leah when she performs is feeling and sounding authentically like herself, and she is passionate about helping her students feel and sound the same way. Leah understands that all students are unique and have unique interests, and prioritises helping them become confident musicians through the music they love, learning how the voice works, understanding music theory, performance technique and most importantly having fun in making music.
