Layla started playing piano at age 7 and quickly fell in love with all things musical. She undertook examinations in the AMEB syllabus and is now undergoing a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music majoring in Contemporary Music. Layla loves writing music in the R&B, soul, pop and indie folk genres and has experience playing in full bands to acoustic duos. Layla has a passion for songwriting working with artists to develop their ideas into the best they can be, as well as writing and producing her own music. She also has a range of experience doing session work in studios around Sydney.
She discovered her love for teaching while teaching Early childhood Ballet classes and has a lot of energy to give to her students. Layla believes the piano tutors she had at an early age fostered her love for piano and wants to pass on that same passion and enjoyment of playing to her students.
