M. Mus Performance
Marcella is a classical violinist, violist, also pianist and is currently studying her Master of performance degree at Australian Institute of Music. She started playing violin since the age of 7 under the guidance of Welly Liando, then Shienny Kurniawati, Finna Kurniawati in Indonesia and is currently learning under guidance of Matt Bruce in Australia. She has been playing the piano since the age of 10, and she has picked up viola since 2017.
Marcella joined her first concert when she was 10, The Handel: Messiah Concert in 2010. She is also a first violinist and violist in the String Orchestra of Surabaya in Indonesia and has been playing under the baton of famous composer in Indonesia. She also has collaborated with Sam Haywood (UK), Prof, Nigel Clayton (RCM), Dr Imma Setiadi (RCM), and Gia Jashvili (Georgia). In 2019, Marcella participated in Singapore Violin Festival studying under Prof. Boris Garlitsky (Russia), Prof. Moni Simeonov (Bulgaria), and Prof. Xie Nan (China). She has also attended a private masterclasses with Prof. Yin Ke (Singapore), Prof. Boris Garlitsky (Russia), Prof. Xie Nan (China), and Gia Jashvili (Georgia). She recently played in G20 Orchestra premiered in Borobudur Temple in Indonesia in September 2022, Sydney Youth Orchestra, and Sydney Concert Orchestra. She won many competitions in Indonesia and now she is a student and also teach violin.
As a teacher, Marcella has been teaching different age group since she was in high school. Marcella likes to teach children with her fun method and technique. Learning to sight read and using more of aural skills will be her specialties.
